IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

We have a Youth Korea study trip for those ages 14-17 years old. All other courses are for those 18 years old or older. There is no maximum age!

WILL I BE TAUGHT IN KOREAN FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

Starting with the beginning levels, you will be taught only in Korean during the Korean language course. This provides an intensive and immersive environment for fast learning!

DO I NEED A VISA TO STUDY THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

If you study longer than 90 days for most nationalities, then yes you do. We can help you with the visa!

THE LANGUAGE SCHOOL IS SPONSORING MY STUDENT VISA, WHY DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE A BANK STATEMENT TO APPLY TO THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

The language school needs to prove to Korean immigration that you can support yourself financially while you study.

DO I NEED TO BE A CURRENT STUDENT TO STUDY KOREAN IN KOREA?

No! You can study Korean regardless of if you are a student or not.

DO YOU PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL AID FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSES?

Some Korean language schools provide small discounts for things like perfect attendance during the term or being the top student in your class. Please be financially prepared when you decide to study Korean language in Korea.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN KOREA?

We suggest arriving no earlier than 2 weeks prior to your school’s term start. If you arrive earlier, this could cause issues with your visa validity period. Don’t worry! Your student coordinator will communicate your school’s starting dates well in advance so you can prepare your travel arrangements.

CAN I GET COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY CREDITS FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

It depends! Please discuss with your home institution regarding their credit requirements and let us know. Otherwise you can study for university credit at Hanyang University’s Visiting Program for undergraduate students.

HOW MUCH IS THE GENERAL COST OF LIVING IN KOREA?

Full-time study in Korea costs about USD 10,000 for 6 months. This includes tuition, housing, and some living expenses. But if you’re thinking of studying for a longer or shorter period of time, please contact us and we can provide some further information!

CAN I ONLY APPLY TO SCHOOLS LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE?

Unfortunately yes. We cannot offer assistance in applying for language schools that we are not currently partnered with, as they each have their own process and regulations that we are unaware of.

DO YOU ONLY HELP WITH LONG-TERM STUDIES?

Of course not! We can assist you in applying for studies from 3 months, or even shorter with our specialized Study Trips that range from 2 – 3 weeks. For more information on short-term stays, just ask!

CAN I BRING MY PET WITH ME TO KOREA?

Many accommodations do not allow pets and there are also quarantine rules for animals including dogs and cats. It would be challenging to bring a pet for a short period of time.

HOW CAN I LEARN THE KOREAN ALPHABET?

We suggest using our Korean learning app ‘Hangul Quest’ to master the Korean alphabet using an interactive and fun tool. You can download the app and try the first lesson for free.

CAN I ATTEND A LANGUAGE COURSE IN KOREA IF I APPLY FOR A WORKING HOLIDAY VISA?

Sure. You can attend a short or long term course while you are in Korea on a working holiday visa.

DO I NEED AN ENGLISH PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATION TO ATTEND THE COURSES?

No. All the languages courses are taught in Korean, regardless of your native language.

CAN I TRANSFER SCHOOLS WHILE I AM STUDYING WITH A D-4 VISA?

No. Due to strict immigration rules, you cannot transfer schools while you are on a D-4 visa sponsored by a university.

WHEN SHOULD I START THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE?

We recommend starting the application process 6 months before you wish to start studying. The earlier the better!

HOW DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSE WORK?

Below is the general process for applying for long-term study with a sponsored student visa.

We send you the application and required documents by email.
After you’ve filled in the forms and collected the required documents, please email everything to us.
We check your forms and documents and request the application fee.
After everything is checked and 100% OK, we send your application to the school.
The school approves your application and issues you an invoice for the tuition.
After paying tuition, the school will issue your certificate of admission (you need this to get a visa from your local Korean embassy).
Apply for your student visa using the certificate of admission.
Collect your student visa from the embassy when it is ready.
Arrive in Korea!

DO I NEED A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA TO APPLY FOR A LANGUAGE COURSE IN KOREA?

In order to apply for a D-4 student visa, you must have a high school diploma or higher. However, there are some cases when it’s possible to apply without a diploma. Please contact us if you have further questions regarding your educational background.

WHAT IS A STUDY TRIP?

Study Trips by Go! Go! Hanguk are your chance to live and study in a country for a short time, while experiencing the culture through a range of unique and fun activities. The trips last between two to three weeks and encompass your language lessons, cultural activities, and accommodation.

Our Korean Study Trips are the perfect way to experience Korea, the language, and the culture in a short amount of time – a great option for those who can’t commit to learning at a language school long-term, or those who are looking for a more immersive experience.

Whether you’re interested in K-pop culture, traditional Korean culture, Korea during the spring, or something else entirely, you’ll find a trip for you in our offerings. Simply choose the trip that you like and you can tailor the activities on that trip based on your interests.

WHY IS THERE A SEPARATE WEBSITE FOR STUDY TRIPS?

Our Korea Study Trips are entirely owned, managed, and run by Go! Go! Hanguk. Since they are a separate service to our long-term study service, we created a different website so people could find our Study Trips more easily.

I had the pleasure of having Yasti help me apply to Hanyang Univeristy to study Korean. Everything was simple and easy. I didn’t feel stressed or worried at all during the application process. If I had a question or a concern, Yasti always replied to me the following day or within two days. I never felt as if I was forgotten. I was also able to find accommodation that suited my needs which was comforting. I’ll be flying to Korea in 9 days and will be living there for 3 months. I did visit Korea last year to visit a few universities that I’m thinking of applying to for graduate school. I wanted to learn Korean if I was going to go to school there, but I also wasn’t sure if living in Korea would be something I’d be comfortable doing long term, so I thought doing a 3 month language study would be a good first step. As someone who has lived in Japan for 2 years, Korea is pretty different. I’d highly recommend for you to do some research about Korean culture and what to expect. I notice that common courtesy isn’t very common in Korea, so please don’t be offended. It’s important to learn and adapt to their way of living, so make some time to learn about the do’s and dont’s of living there. Koreans will definitely appreciate the effort you put in to learn their language and their culture. If you're ever going through a hard time or need some advice or guidance, Go! Go! Hanguk will be there to help you the best they can! I guess you could say that Yasti will be my "guardian" while I'm in Korea if I ever need help with something. My mom is trying to encourage me to vlog about my experience. I'm a pretty private person, but I am thinking about doing it for those of you who aren't sure about making such a big decision. I'll update my review to let you all know if I decide to do so!

Super moyen de s'inscrire à l'université en Corée du Sud sans trop de difficulté. Le site est bien détaillé et en plusieurs langues, le personnel avec qui nous sommes en contact sont super, pour ma part Élodie à suivit quasiment toute mon aventure et elle est géniale elle répond vite et les réponses ses précises. Petit problème d'information (délais), étant passer par 3 personnes différentes (pour des raisons personnelles) tout les délais ne sont pas forcément identiques. Au delà de ça, rien à redire !Petite tips pour ceux qui se lance dans les inscriptions, n'hésitez pas à commencer 1 an / 6 mois à l'avance histoire d'avoir le temps de rassembler tout les documents nécessaires même en cas de galère.Je vous recommande 고고한국! (Gogo Hanguk !) À 100%.Très bon voyage à tous.

Par où commencer ? Partir étudier (souvent seul.e) à l'étranger peut faire très peur. Passer par GogoHanguk a été la meilleure décision que j'ai pu prendre.
